The Boston University Hooping Project

In the past year, flow arts have been gaining a stronger presence in contries everywhere.  The line between circus arts and the rest of the movement community is getting smaller and smaller.  The Boston University Hooping Project is fortunate to be breathing during this rapid growth.  Our project is getting bigger and so many more peope want to learn flow arts than we thought..

What goes around comes around  

When you give to the project, you will be a strong part in bulding a flow arts precense that is so needed in the Brookline/ Boston/ Allston areas.  You will not only be giving to thee flow artists within the project, but to the Boston Univertsiy community who get ammense joy by watching us flow on campus and to all of the emerging flow artist's, torupes and companies whose main goal, like ours, is to establish a precence of flow within every pocket of their worlds.  But more importantly, to all of the future flow artists that we haven't met ;-p 

 

 

 

With your helps our Project can: 

 

• Make 20 hula hoops of various varietis that will belong to Boston University, so no newcommer is without a hoop.

• Obtain 5 sets of poi balls and 3 flow wands that will belong to Boston Universit​y

​

• Buy a busking permit so our members can advertise our project on the streets of Boston, but also get a sense of what performing is like.  

 

• Create an annual Flow event.  A performance/ dance party where the project can show off their moves on a stage, as well as have a DJ dance party with plenty of hoops for people to try

 

• A long term goal of ours is to create a Flow Awareness Faire.  This would be an afternoon of presentations of different flow outlets in order to get the word out!

• An even longer long term goal is to be able to help send the project to a hoop festival and workshops
