Monday Night Beginners Series: 7 - 9

Tamsyn Bindal: Belly Dancing

Larua Torraco from 'Medicinal Circles'

Rose from The BU Hooping Project

Every monday at the Sac Gym (directions at the bottom of this page) we have TWO bi-weekly movement classes followed by a weekly beginners hula hoop class.  No experience or hoop necessary for any of these classes; Just wear loose clothes!  We welcome drop ins.... oh- and its F*R*E*E !!!

Tamsyn is an oriental dance fusion artist and teacher exploring new paths to integrating her studies in belly dance, modern/contemporary dance, contact improvisation and somatic dance forms.

She is excited about the possibilities that hooping opens to blending these genres, and the way the hoop brings attention to space around a dancer, creating opportunities to play with speed, dimension, weight and direction.

Tamsyn teaches belly dancing and movement every other Monday from 7 to 8:15

We are in QUADRANT A of the Sac Gym.

Rose was recently cast at King Richard's Renaissance Faire in Carver, MA where she began hooping at the performing level..  She loves to twirl in the hoop and represents a slower side to hoop flow.

Rose teaches the Beginner Series class from 8:15 to 9 every Monday evening.

Laura has been hooping for four years and has been committed to spreading the perspective of the healing and trans-formative aspects of hoop dance.

Medicinal Circles is a Rhode Island based hoop group led and founded by Laura Torraco.  The group's main purpose is to instill in each and every one of our students or audience members with a sense of magic inspired through movement.
